Olympia Land Estate Winery is located in the charming village of Koskina, just a few kilometers from the heart of Ancient Olympia. The winery stands at the very site where, 150 years ago, our ancestors began cultivating raisins and olive trees, laying the foundation for a rich agricultural tradition. Today, Olympia Land Estate is a family-owned winery that began producing small batches of high-quality wines in the early 2000s. Since 2008, the estate has established a modern, state-of-the-art winery to continue producing exceptional wines. We proudly follow our family’s tradition in a blessed and sacred place – Olympia, the birthplace of culture and the Olympic ideal. Inspired by the ancient practices of the region, where the ancient Greeks crafted wine and hosted symposiums, we continue to produce premium wines that reflect the spirit, history, and traditions of the area.
THE VINEYARD
The history of the Olympia Land Estate Vineyard dates back to 1985 when the family revived a 35-acre vineyard in Koskina, near Ancient Olympia. The vineyard was primarily planted with the indigenous Moschofilero and Roditis grape varieties. For generations, the Liarommati family practiced traditional winemaking methods, including the unique technique of pressing grapes by foot. The harvest season became a festive occasion, with the whole family gathering to assist with the harvest and winemaking process. Imagine the women of the family dancing in the large stone winepress, crushing the grapes and collecting the must (juice) in wooden barrels. Today, the vineyard has expanded to 100 acres, with the Kladeos River flowing through the estate. The vineyard is now home to a diverse range of grape varieties, including local white varieties such as Asyrtiko and Malagousia, the prestigious red varieties of Agiorgitiko and Avgoustiatis, and international varieties like Chardonnay, Merlot, and Syrah. Located at an altitude of 120 meters, the vineyard benefits from a special microclimate that protects the vines from extreme weather conditions, ensuring a consistent high-quality wine production year after year

As the first certified visitable winery in Greece, Olympia Land Estate Winery offers a one-of-a-kind experience for organized and individual visitors, particularly wine enthusiasts. Our visitors have the chance to taste our fine wines, olive oil, and olives, all produced on-site. During the summer months, wine tastings take place in our lush garden or the charming stone mansion, providing an unforgettable setting.
Our estate is fully accessible, designed to welcome people with special needs (AMEA), ensuring that everyone can enjoy the experience.
